What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use similar browser storage (local storage and session storage), which this policy treats the same way. Some are needed for the site to work; others are used only with your permission.
What we use
Essential. Keep you signed in, remember your cookie choice and your city filter, and protect the site. These are always on; without them the Service does not work.
Analytics (optional). Google Analytics 4 and our own page statistics, so we can see which pages and cities are used and where visitors drop off. Our own statistics record the page (including the campaign or city tag in the address), the country and city derived from your connection, the device type and a session identifier; the IP address is not stored. Google Analytics runs with Consent Mode: no Google cookie is set until you accept.
Marketing (optional). The Meta pixel, so we can measure whether our Instagram and Facebook campaigns bring people who sign up, and, for signed-in visitors who accept, a hashed email so Meta can match the event to the ad. Meta may set cookies on its own domain; see Meta's privacy policy. Nothing is set before you accept.

Your choices
On your first visit the banner asks you to choose. Nothing optional is set until you do. You can change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page, and you can delete cookies in your browser settings. Each decision is recorded with a timestamp and the version of this policy so we can show what you agreed to. Rejecting optional cookies never limits what you can do on GATEBREAKER.
